History & Career

Sound, Motion, Vision

Music is not just a craft—it’s movement, rhythm, storytelling. It is a way to shape ideas, to navigate sound, to create meaning from silence. My journey began with rhythm, with a toy drum set at five years old, and evolved into a lifelong exploration of music as a language of experience and discovery.

A Life in Music

From the moment I picked up my first real drum kit—a Hollywood Meazzi, which I still own—I knew that sound would be the core of my existence. My studies led me to the Conservatory, first in percussion, then in composition, until I eventually studied with Filippo Daccò, a master not only of harmony but of creative thought itself.

From there, music became my passport. I traveled, I played, I learned. First with local jazz groups, then with big bands, and eventually diving headfirst into the world of international jazz and blues. Along the way, I had the privilege of performing with incredible artists such as Joey DeFrancesco, Scott Hamilton, Jesse Davis, The Joyful & The Spirit of New Orleans, Finis Tasby, Larry Taylor, Tad Robinson, Sugar Ray Norcia, Alex Schultz, Alberto Marsico, and Laura Fedele—plus the countless musicians I played alongside in cruise ship house bands, gathering experiences from every corner of the world.

Touring, Jazz & Blues

Collaboration has taken me to some of the most renowned jazz and blues music festivals and venues in the world—North Sea Jazz Festival, Cognac Blues Festival, Manly Festival in Sydney, Ascona Jazz, and more. I’ve played in clubs and theaters in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Moscow, Paris, Madrid, Brussels, Oslo, Vienna, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Athens, Berlin, Rome, and Naples—always in motion, always in rhythm.

The Art of Adaptation

An audition in New York led me to the world of cruise ships, where I worked as a drummer and later became an Associated Music Manager. In a billion-dollar industry where every detail matters, I refined not only my playing but my ability to adapt—leading orchestras, arranging for performers, shaping shows into seamless experiences.

Freelance & Artistic Collaborations

Beyond performance, I work as a drummer, arranger, and creative consultant for various projects. I collaborate with Jamalar Agency in New Orleans, specializing in gospel music, and am a member of the Music Arrangers Guild of Australia. In Italy, I work with Slang Music for seasonal tours. Over the years, I have recorded dozens of albums and actively contributed to the organization of tours and studio sessions for many artists.

Composing & Crafting Sound

Every year, I launch a new project—whether in music, production, or writing. I have published three books, a solo album, and several Pro-Level video recordings as part of my project, The Berlin Recording. My work can be found on Vimeo and Bandcamp, always evolving, always seeking new sonic landscapes.

Music as a Language

Though rooted in jazz and blues, I have extensive experience in US and UK pop, country, Latin music, and songwriting traditions. I thrive in creative environments where sound is shaped, refined, and designed with intention.

My toolkit reflects this philosophy: a 1964 Rogers Black Onyx drum kit for vintage warmth, a modern drum set for versatility, and a deep commitment to sound aesthetics. I am an endorser for Bosphorus Cymbals, an experienced session musician, and completely at home in both European and American studios. Click track or no click track—I read, I adapt, I play. The sea teaches you that.

A Sound Artisan

Music is more than just notes—it’s an ecosystem of rhythm, vision, and adaptation. If my expertise can contribute to your project, let’s talk.
